Ingredients

Preheat the oven to 180°C.

Finely chop red onion and blanch in hot water for 5 minutes.

Drain, then place in a large bowl with free-range beef mince, crushed garlic, parsley, egg and seasoning to taste.

Serve with hot home-made Italian tomato sauce, moist smooth polenta and fresh basil.

Cook's note: Woolworths sells a delicious tomato-and-herb pasta sauce as well as an organic Napoletana pasta sauce that work perfectly with this meal and are handy if you're in a hurry.
