Classic chocolate cake

Ingredients
Method
- 225 g cake flour
- 325 g caster sugar
- 115 g cocoa powder
- 2 t bicarbonate of soda
- 1 t baking powder
- 1 t salt
- 2 free-range eggs
- 1⁄2 cup buttermilk
- 1⁄4 cup vegetable oil
- 1⁄2 cup water
- 2 t vanilla extract
- 100 g Woolworths 70% dark chocolate drops, melted
- 100 g Woolworths milk chocolate drops, melted
- 100 g Woolworths white chocolate drops, melted
Method
Ingredients
1. Preheat the oven to 170°C. Grease and line a 23 cm springform baking tin with baking paper.
2. Sift all the dry ingredients into the bowl of a stand mixer. Whisk together all the wet ingredients and slowly add to the dry mixture while beating at a low speed until smooth.
3. Pour the batter into the cake tin and bake for 35 minutes, or until a skewer comes out clean. Cool in the tin, then remove. Just before serving, drizzle with the melted chocolate.
