Boerie rolls with iBhisto

For the iBhisto:
- 3 T canola oil
- 1 large brown onion, diced
- 1 medium green chilli, sliced
- 2 sprigs fresh thyme, finely chopped
- 2 t crushed garlic
- ½ t medium curry powder
- 1 t paprika
- ½ t dried parsley
- 1 T masala spice
- 1 t garlic salt
- 2 large tomatoes, diced
- 1 t tomato paste
- 2 t white sugar
- sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1 kg Woolworths Free Range Beef Boerewors Portions To assemble
- 6 hotdog rolls, for serving
- tomato sauce, for serving
- mayonnaise, for serving
- coriander, to garnish
- chips or salad, for serving
Method
Ingredients
1. Heat the oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Add the onion and sauté for 3–4 minutes, or until translucent.
2. Add the chilli, thyme, garlic and ginger and stir to combine.
3. Stir in the curry powder, paprika, parsley, masala spice and garlic salt. Cook for 2 minutes, stirring continuously, then stir in the tomatoes, tomato paste and sugar.
4. Season with salt and pepper. Cover with a lid and simmer for a further 4–5 minutes, stirring occasionally, before serving.
5. Braai the wors over hot coals until cooked through. Serve on the hotdog rolls with the sauces and garnish with coriander.
