Hot pink strawberry liqueur

10 minutes, plus overnight steeping time
In the spirit of the season combine a few ingredients and leave them to infuse for two days and you'll have a very festive home-made hot pink strawberry liqueur to gift to friends this year.
Ingredients
Method- 2 cups vodka
- 200 g caster sugar
- 400 g ripe strawberries, well washed & sliced
- 1 - 2 T lime juice (or 2 T rose-water)
Method
Ingredients1. Combine the ingredients in a large, sterilised jar. infuse for up to 2 days, shaking the jar occasionally to encourage the sugar to dissolve. Strain and decant into sterilised bottles. Keep in a cool, dark spot until opened, then in the fridge for up to nine months.
2. Serve with tonic or sparkling water and ice, or add a splash to a glass of sparkling wine for a strawberry fizz.
