Brie, basil and sun-dried tomato pasta sauce

Ingredients

Method
  • 20 ml olive oil
  • 1 oinion, chopped
  • 1 carrot, peeled and chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 can undrained tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup basil leaves
  • 1/2 Woolworths traditional brie 500g, roughly chopped

Method

Ingredients

Heat the oil in a pan and cook the onions, carrot and garlic on a low heat until softened.

Stir in the canned tomatoes, sun-dried tomatoes, water and sugar. Simmer uncovered for 15 minutes stirring occasionally.

Add the basil and season.

Transfer sauce to a food processor and process until smooth.

Just before serving stir in the brie, allowing to melt.

Serve with Woolworths fresh pasta.

    How much sun-dried tomato is used in the recipe, it doesn’t appear in the ingredient list?
