Mix together:
- 500 g minced lamb (beef or chicken would be good too)
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed
- 1 teblespoon finely chopped coriander leaves
- 1-2 chopped red chillies
- 2 teaspoons curry powder
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Salt to taste
Method
Ingredients
Shape the mixture into 5cm cylinders and thread onto skewers.
Cook over hot coals or under a hot grill, for 5 minutes a side or until just cooked through.
Serve hot with white rice and a chilli sauce or chutney on the side.

These kebabs are popular street food in Mombasa, Kenya. They are aromatic with spices - the result of the influence of the large Indian population.
These popular minced lamb kebabs are grilled over wood braziers. Make them for a Sunday braai or cook them under the oven grill.
