Ingredients

Method
  • 1 x 500 g pack frozen röstis
  • 1 x 125 g pack sliced cooked ham
  • 200 g Rosa tomatoes
  • 1 x 200 g packet fresh cheese sauce
  • 2 T chives, chopped

Method

Ingredients

Preheat the oven to 200°C.
Place the frozen röstis on a baking tray and bake for 20 minutes, or until cooked through and golden.
Remove from the oven and arrange the first layer of röstis on an ovenproof serving dish. Fold each slice of ham* into a triangle and place on the röstis.
Pile the remaining röstis on top, scatter over the tomatoes and pour over the fresh cheese sauce.
Heat the grill to hot. Place under the grill until the cheese sauce begins to bubble slightly and become golden in colour.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly. Sprinkle with chives then serve.

*Cook's note: Woolworths sells a delicious range of Halaal cold meats, including tongue and pressed beef, that can easily substitute the ham in this recipe.
