I halved it and only got a small portion for one layer. It took much longer than 20 minutes to cook and came out still on the damp side. I then remade a second “half” batch to get the second layer. The frosting was a disaster. I added the berries to crème fraiche and no amount of whisking would get it to spreadable texture. It instantly went liquid when I whisked in the berries and came out as a pink sauce. So the flavour was nice but I had a moist cake with berry sauce. I won’t try it again.
