This may however still leave some marks which will require scrubbing to get the pot shiny again. Spare yourself the effort of remembering to swith the stive off and scrub the pot and soak the pot with bleach this should take a couple of hours dependant on how badly the pot has burnt. Depending on the degree of burn you may not need to do any scrubbing the following morning and all you need is to wash the pot with detergent to have is sparkling again.

Heat the pot till water simmering, then take off and scrub and remove the excess burnt stuff. Repeat the process, adding a few drops of lux liquid and scrub and continue with the process till all burnt marks are cleaned off. Good luck.

All the burnt stuff should come off easily in the morning! Worked on my stainless steel Le Creuset pot.

Bring to the boil and it should clean the burn off. If that does not work, try covering the bottom with fabric softener and water and bring to the boil. Good luck!

You can then also us a liquid scourer (like Handy Andy, not VIM) with the pad. The glaze at the bottom will never be like new but it won’t be burnt/black. I’ve burnt stew to the bottom of my big Le Creuset pot and managed to clean it as above. Helena

Put in pot and let it simmer a while about 4m-5 min or longer. Keep an eye on it as it can boil over. Let pot cool wipe out
